The Verizon Wireless Virginia Beach Amphitheater, located near Princess Anne Road just off of Independence Blvd., is a 20,000 seat outdoor concert venue, playing rain or shine. Open since 1996, the Amphitheater regularly hosts the greatest acts in popular music, with upcoming shows including festival tours, rock, hip hop, country, and Christian.

The Amphitheater offers both designated seating areas and a cheaper lawn section. Most shows have a specific alcohol and smoke free area of the lawn cordoned off, making it safe and family friendly. For Amphitheater-designated "family shows," a child under 12 is admitted free on the lawn for every paid adult lawn ticket.
