Virginia State Parks provide comfortable and economical overnight accommodations, with 260 climate-controlled cabins and more than 1,700 campsites, ranging from primitive sites to developed sites with electric and water hookups. Measuring 7,417 yards with Tifsport Bermuda fairways and smooth A-4 bent grass greens, the Nicklaus is characterized by large waste bunkers and 100+ formal bunkers. With acres of dunes, mature trees, small well protected greens, and water on several holes, this shotmaker’s design will challenge best. The course opened in 2006 and is currently ranked 8th best course in Virginia by Golfweek magazine.
